The National University of Singapore Enterprise group (NUS Enterprise) includes the
NUS Industry Liaison Office (NUS ILO) and the NUS Entrepreneurship Centre (NEC).
NUS ILO focuses on the management and commercialisation of intellectual property from NUS researchers and its Collaborators including undertaking patent filing and prosecution, and licensing. We play a key role in guiding and educating our researchers on intellectual property issues. We actively market the technologies and intellectual property generated by NUS researchers and its Collaborators to industry.
The R2M Portal, an NUS ILO initiative, is another way of reaching out to industry world wide to showcase our technology. In addition to directly showcasing technology, NUS ILO also operates at a strategic level, cooperating and influencing government agencies and industry associations to create a more conducive environment for innovation and entrepreneurship in Singapore.

NEC focuses on promoting and supporting entrepreneurial and nurturing startups by NUS investigators and their collaborators. It conducts research to advance knowledge in the policy and practice of technology venturing in Singapore and beyond.
NEC's activities are organised into four key areas: Experiential Education, Entrepreneurship Development, NUS Enterprise Incubator and Entrepreneurship & Innovation Research. NEC works closely with NUS ILO on the R2M Portal to bring business expertise, funding and emergent technology to new small business ventures.
